Gifts in Wills

The donations we receive from legacies funds 1 in 10 patients we care for.

A gift in your Will to Butterwick Hospice is a promise to provide care, comfort and support to babies, children and adults in our local area, and their families during the most difficult of times.

Including a gift in your Will is easy to do and it is a meaningful way to support the future of our hospice for years to come.

The Greatest Gift You Will Ever Give

1 in every 10 people we care for is funded by the money we receive from Wills. That means that over 10% of our funding comes from the amazing gifts left to us by our supporters, it’s almost £400,000 every year.*

A gift of just 1% left to us in your Will can help us to be there for children and adults during the most difficult times of their life, providing respite care, end of life care, counselling, complementary therapies and support for the families of our patients.

Whatever the amount, your gift has a huge impact and we’re so grateful to for your support.

How Do I Make a Will?

Having your Will in place ensures your wishes are protected, helping to avoid uncertainty and difficulties for your family and loved ones after your death. In the UK, less than 50% of us have a Will in place, but it’s so important when considering what happens to those you love and the causes you’re passionate about when you’re no longer here.

Including a financial gift, a percentage of your estate or even a specific item to Butterwick Hospice helps to secure our future, and the future of those we care for.
