Volunteer Retail Assistants / Multiple roles – new flagship shop – St Helen Auckland.

Location: St Helen Auckland, Unit 6, Bishop Auckland Retail Park, DL14 9TT

For 40 years, Butterwick Hospice has supported local people and communities across our regions of Teesside and County Durham. We provide holistic care for children and adults living with a life-limiting illness, as well as support for their families and loved ones. We believe in embracing life’s journey with compassion and care and aim to make every day the best it can be for each of our patients and their loved ones.

We have multiple roles available, including:  :

  • E-commerce volunteers – online listers, photographers, distribution. 
  • Shop floor – merchandisers, till/customer service volunteers.
  • Stock processing volunteers – sorting, pricing, steaming. 
  • Clothing specialist.
  • Books and media specialist .
  • Homewares specialist. 

Usual Role Hours / Shift:  Flexible hours to suit you – Monday to Sunday. The hours you donate to helping us are up to you – whether it’s for a couple of hours or full day, once or twice a week – we really appreciate any help you can give us.

Uniform: Smart appearance, volunteer badge.

Expenses: Reasonable travel and lunch expenses can be covered with prior agreement.

Give it a try – join our  team – without the support of of wonderful volunteers, we couldn’t provide our services to the local community.

These roles will be based the St Helen Auckland / Tindale shop – we have other retail sites in Barnard Castle, Cockerton, Middlesbrough, Billingham, Norton, Thornaby, Redcar and are always on the look out for more help in these locations.
